Our Story
While both attending Central Michigan University, we met when working at our part-time college jobs at Pizza Hut. It's true. Busy earning our undergraduate degrees, I managed to become one of the fastest delivery drivers north of the Mason-Dixon, while Dayna always managed to bring home loads of cash serving pizza, hot wings, and attitude to the Chippewa co-eds. We were always good friends at "The Hut", but had relationships of our own outside of work. Almost two years went by when we both found ourselves single. After missing hundreds of signals Dayna threw my way, we finally managed to hang out one night watching a movie at her house just off campus.
That was back in February of 2009. Ever since that night, the two of us have been inseparable best friends. Over six years later, our love for each other has been tried and tested many times but none a bigger challenge than when I accepted a job in New York City almost four years ago. Dayna was my biggest cheerleader and support system and after what seemed like the longest year of our lives living 700 miles apart, Dayna made the move to live with me in Brooklyn in 2013. Here we have built an amazing life together full of late nights in the city, traveling around the world, lots of long weekends painting murals and design work together, and learning to live in a 400 square foot apartment with our not-so-mellow, Melo. (He's our cat)
Our Day
CEREMONY
Our marriage ceremony will be held at St. Michael Lutheran Church in Portage, Michigan. Jeremiah's home church minister, Pastor Mike Geml, will be leading the ceremony. Portage is just a short ten minute drive outside of downtown Kalamazoo.
Although we are respectfully asking that no children attend the wedding festivities, we understand many of our friends and family will have new born babies and may need to bring them along for the ceremony. :)

RECEPTION
The ceremony will be followed by a night filled with drinks, dinner, and dancing in downtown Kalamazoo at Loft310. This loft style venue was once the Kalamazoo Pant Company, originally built in 1863. The venue is also home to a few other bars and restaurants, which all of our guests will have complimentary access to.
We kindly ask that the reception be for adult guests only.
